In Brief... Auctioneer

 Brief Description:

Assesses the value of property and arranges for sale by auction.

An auction is a situation of sale where people gather to bid for an item or items. These items may be antiques, paintings, clothes and cars or they might even be cows and sheep. Basically any piece of property that you want to sell, including you house can be sold for you by an Auctioneer.

The Auctioneer usually specialises in a particular area of expertise, advising people who want to sell their goods in that area. They assess the value of the goods, compile catalogues or lists if there are a lot of items to be sold, and arrange for the holding of a public auction. The Auctioneer then directs the auction by accepting bids for the goods.
