On a personal level you need to be a good team player, good communicator and organised. From a technical viewpoint a background in physical sciences or engineering is essential. A PhD in semiconductor related field would prove extremely beneficial. The opportunities are vast within a company the size of Intel so you do have the option to change career direction if needed.

Administrative people are interested in work that offers security and a sense of being part of a larger process. They may be at their best operating under supervisors who give clear guidelines, and performing routine tasks in a methodical and reliable way.

They tend to enjoy clerical and most forms of office work, where they perform essential administrative duties. They often form the backbone of large and small organisations alike. To become a Nurse Tutor, a nurse/midwife who is registered with NMBI may apply to undertake a specific master’s programme.

On successful completion of the master’s programme, with the appropriate strand, candidates are entitled to apply for registration with NMBI as a Nurse Tutor (RNT).

There is not a separate register for midwife tutors. A nurse/midwife who is registered with NMBI and who already holds a masters Honours Degree in nursing/midwifery or in an allied health science subject, may, subject to the Honours Degree being deemed suitable by NMBI, undertake a further post-graduate qualification in education, and subsequently may apply for registration as a nurse tutor with NMBI.
