In Brief... Bank / Financial Manager

 Brief Description:

Plans, directs and co-ordinate activities of workers in bank/financial setting. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, oversees the flow of cash and financial instruments.

The general banking duties of a Bank Official include dealing with customers who come into the bank to conduct financial transactions and handling large amounts of cash and cheques. A Bank Official also looks after customer's queries helping them with loan applications direct debits, bill payments among many other kinds of banking services.

As well dealing with customers the Bank Official must assist in the general administration of whatever branch he/she works in, counting and balancing cash, ordering foreign currency and performing any other duties that aid in the smooth running of the bank.

Establish and maintain relationships with individual and business customers, and provide assistance with problems these customers may encounter.

Examine, evaluate, and process loan applications.

Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of workers in branches, offices, or departments of such establishments as branch banks, brokerage firms, risk and insurance departments, or credit departments. 

»  

Oversee the flow of cash and financial instruments. 

»  

Recruit staff members and oversee training programs. 

»  

Network within communities to find and attract new business. 

»  

Approve, reject, or coordinate the approval or rejection of lines of credit and commercial, real estate, and personal loans. 

»  

Prepare financial and regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, and boards of directors. 

»  

Establish procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to ensure safekeeping. 

»  

Review collection reports to determine the status of collections and the amounts of outstanding balances.
