Social?
Social
The Social person's interests focus on some aspect of those people in their environment. In all cases the social person enjoys the personal contact of other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people, and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

Sports bodies require their management and coaching staff to have well-rounded understanding and knowledge, about their chosen sport and in the area of business and management. A Sport and Exercise degree explores the cross-functional nature of business and sport and equips students with the necessary skills to attain careers in: sport management, club development, games development and club administration. Applicants can apply for both the BA (Honours) Sport Management and Coaching and the BA Sport & Exercise Soccer on the CAO application. Both programmes run concurrently for the first three years. This three-year degree programme is delivered by IT Carlow in association with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).

Graduates will acquire an academic qualification while gaining the opportunity to develop as a footballer and to obtain coaching qualifications. The Sport & Exercise degree combines business and sports modules. Mandatory subjects over the life of the programme include: player development; coach education; anatomy and physiology; writing and research; sports management; finance; functional screening and fitness testing; strength and conditioning; sports marketing; coach education; programme planning and more. As part of the programme, students will gain coaching experience within various schools, clubs and FAI events.
