Forensics involves analysing substances to discover what they are made of, or where they came from. It is famously used in crime solving, though is also employed in monitoring pollutants and in chemistry research.

The course content includes crime scene investigation, criminal law, forensic investigative methods and case studies, coupled with analytical methods used in forensic laboratories including Materials analysis by spectroscopic methods, Drug analysis by Chromatography and Immunoassay Diagnostics and DNA technology.
