Journalism is the practice of investigating, summarising, and broadcasting an event to the public.
This course provides skills in the practice of newspaper, broadcast and web-based journalism. In addition, they acquire a critical understanding of the role of journalism in democratic society and a knowledge of subjects such as politics, law, and business. Students study general language and communication skills, the literature of their chosen language (French, German, Irish or Spanish), as well as the media and cultures of countries where the language is spoken.
