This is an academic course in theatre and film history, which provides training in critical and analytic skills, combined with more practical workshop-based topics in such areas as playwriting, design, directing, acting, movement, drama and the community, lighting and technical theatre, puppetry, and theatre management. A workshop assessment and interview are added to Leaving Certificate points score.
