Marketing covers everything from company culture and philisophy through to market research, new business or product development, advertising and promotion, PR (public or press relations), and all of the sales functions. It is the process by which a company decides what it will sell, to whom, when and how it will sell.
This course allows for specialisation in services marketing, international business with a language, management of sales, entrepreneurship, business to business marketing, and direct Marketing. There is a final year thesis.

Gail Sterio works as a Corporate Accountant in McDonald's. She holds a Marketing Degree from DIT and recently completed her accountancy exams with the ACCA. It was while she was working part-time in McDonald's during her studies that she went for the interview for a full time position in the accounts department and was successful. McDonald's encouraged and supported her to take her ACCA exams.
