Civil engineering includes the planning, designing, construction, and maintenance of structures, and altering geography to suit human needs. This may include the construction of railroads, dams, bridges, tunnels, or buildings.
This course provides students with the basic and practical education to work as technicians in any area of civil engineering. Students obtain very distinctive skills in the areas of construction technology, site surveying, mechanics, information technology, communications, materials and soils. There is a Level 8 follow-on degree available.
