The programme combines computer studies, particularly software development with business subjects. The computing part of the programme comprises 70% of the content and is studied from a business perspective rather than a purely technical perspective. The objective is to develop a skilled IT professional with strong software and related skills and a good knowledge of how businesses function.
This programme will develop the knowledge and skills necessary for a challenging and rewarding career in information systems. It is a course of study that covers both business studies and computing from a commercial or business perspective, that opens up a wide range of career opportunities in either IT or general management as well as in a wide range of specialist software development roles. A six month placement in the software industry between years 3 and 4.
