blank Course Summary... blank

Law is the system of rules which governs society; practitioners of law are trained to analyse, interpret, and apply it. There are laws which apply to almost every aspect of life; including business and trade regulations, criminal activity, family disputes, property development, and European law.

In addition to the traditional law degree, the Law Plus programme permits students to include advanced study in other courses such as politics, history, criminal justice and languages. This is particularly useful for students who are uncertain of their future career.

blank Careers or Further Progression... blank

Course for those students who wish to enter the legal profession as barristers or solicitors but also those who intend to pursue a wide variety of careers in administration, government and business. To become a legal professional, it is normal to pass examinations set by the Law Society of Ireland, and serve an apprenticeship for an additional two years.
