The BA in Counselling Skills and Psychotherapy Studies facilitates learners to develop in an integrative manner the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to work within a social and therapeutic model of counselling. The programme is interactive and draws upon a mixture of academic and experiential learning approaches across the programme. For those undertaking the programme on a part-time basis, elements of some modules may be delivered through blended learning approaches. This means that students will engage with some learning through face to face sessions and additional learning will be facilitated through an on-line learning community. All students in years two and three must engage in simulated and real practice learning environments. This is considered essential in this domain of practice.
