The core science subjects are studied by all agricultural science students until the second year, at which stage they select their major degree options, which include breeding and seed production, animal biology, farming business and rural development, environmental science, food science, engineering technology, horticultural science, landscape horticulture, and forestry. The difference between this course and the more specialised Agricultural Science courses is that there is no guaranteed of the specialisation of your choice through this route. This course is likely the best route for those who are unsure of what the specialist areas are.
