First year gives you an introduction to many aspects of contemporary France, as well as general linguistics and literature. It follows with a study of the history of French ideas and ideologies, French literature and in the analysis of the French language itself.
This subject may to taken along with one other subject from the College TR001 list. Both subjects are normally studied for three years and one subject only is studied in the fourth year.
