Engineers are concerned with developing economical and safe solutions to practical problems, by applying mathematics and scientific knowledge while considering technical constraints.
By selecting this programme students may choose from one of two streams during their first month on campus. A final selection from within stream 1 occurs at the end of year 1. A final selection from stream 2 occurs at the end of year 2.
Each stream allows student to choose a particular branch of engineering after the fundamental subjects required by all engineers are covered.
The programme leads to a level 8 honours degree award by continuation to one of the following Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programmes.
Civil Eng and Chemical & Bichemical Eng options added.
