Astronomy is the scientific study of celestial objects (stars, planets, comets, asteroids) and phenomena (cosmic radiation, dark energy).

The first three years focus on classical and modern physics, combined with various aspects of astronomy, as well as mathematics, electronics, and computing. There is a lab placement during year 3. The emphasis is on lab and project work (both individually and in groups).
