Economics is a social science which studies the distribution of resources in society, in the form of goods, services, and labour. It covers topics such as how goods are priced, how banks function, and how consumers behave in different markets.
In the first two years, students are introduced to macro and microeconomics, calculus, and statistics. The final two years concentrate on the development of skills in statistical analysis. The programme is designed for students who are strong in maths and who wish to use their capabilities in the economic and commercial environment.
