Electronic engineering, like electrical engineering, is concerned with electrical systems. However, electronic engineering is more concerned with light current systems, where electricity is used as a carrier of information, such as in computers, televisions, mp3 players, etc.

This course includes subjects such as mathematics, analogue and digital electronics, telecommunications, industrial control systems, computer systems and programming, electronics systems, industrial studies, and communications. There are follow-on Level 7 and 8 degrees available.

Careers as technicians working in the operation and servicing of electronic equipment and computer systems or with applications in hardware and software or work in technical sales and support.
