If you have Leaving Cert Latin you take mode A. Course combines language study with the reading of literary texts in Latin. If you do not have Latin at Leaving Cert you take Mode B designed for beginners and concentrates on language acquisition.
As part of an Arts degree, this subject is taken with two other subjects in your first year. You continue to study two of your first year subjects in your second and third years. It may also be possible to specialize in one subject after first year. You may have the option to spend an additional year studying abroad.
