Law is the system of rules which governs society; practitioners of law are trained to analyse, interpret, and apply it. There are laws which apply to almost every aspect of life; including business and trade regulations, criminal activity, family disputes, property development, and European law.

This course broadly covers law, and Irish or a foreign language. Alternatively, students may take public international law or accounting. A great deal of reading/research/case study is demanded by the course.

Careers in Solicitor/Barrister, Investment Manager, Company Taxation. To become a legal professional, it is normal to pass examinations set by the Law Society of Ireland, and serve an apprenticeship for an additional two years.
