The aim of this course is to provide students with the range of both theoretical and practical skills required to participate fully in a strong and vibrant computing industry with a particular emphasis on computer games development. There is a strong emphasis on game design, media content and teamwork. Students should note that much more than an interest in playing computer games is required for this course. There is a follow-on degree available.

Although the Computer Games industry in Ireland is still quite young it is growing fast and the Irish Government has targeted this area for particular growth in the future. In response to this growth area Letterkenny Institute of Technology has developed a B. Sc. in Computing in Computer Games Development.
