This programme prepares the graduate for the role of professional nurse, accountable for providing high quality nursing care. As a key member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, he/she will work with patients and their families enabling them to deal with acute and chronic healthcare needs and promote physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
This internationally recognised degree will allow the graduate to work in a variety of healthcare settings in Ireland and abroad. The career prospects are varied, with nurses working in/or specialising in medical/surgical care, care of older persons, theatre, oncology, community and general practice.
