Horticulture is the practice of growing plants, either for their beauty or for food and medicine. It involves topics such as genetics, biology, pollination management, and pest control.
This course is jointly based at Kildalton College. It covers topics such as marketing and quality assurance, plant identification and use, production of floristry, landscape design, crop production, greenkeeping, mushroom production, landscape construction. There is a six-month work placement in Ireland or abroad.
