The Social person's interests focus on some aspect of those people in their environment. In all cases the social person enjoys the personal contact of other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people, and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

Description...
This is a one-year course, which combines a range of multimedia skills. Those who complete this course may gain entry into the second year of a Level 8 degree course. We have established a formal link with, The Institute of Technology Tralee, and we are in the process of developing similar links with other colleges.

This department contains the most up to date hardware and software. Facilities include wireless Apple Macs, wide screen G5s, a range of HD digital video cameras, SLR cameras, Boom and Zoom microphones, LED and Soft Box studio lights. We have a green screen animation room, in which students can produce stop- motion animations, with the option of mixing them with live video. 3D computer animations can also be produced using Cinema 4D.
