The Investigative person will usually find a particular area of science to be of interest. They are inclined toward intellectual and analytical activities and enjoy observation and theory. They may prefer thought to action, and enjoy the challenge of solving problems with clever technology. Music Technology is a hands-on, skills-based PLC course which equips students with a fundamental knowledge of the common applications of music technology in the recording, compositional and commercial music fields.

The course covers relevant software (ProTools, Reason, Sound Forge) and hardware required for general music technology applications as well as aspects of recording skills and techniques, while facilitating a clear understanding of the underlying theory. The core modules on this course combine the acquisition of new skills and techniques with the development of the ability of students to apply these in a variety of situations.
