Get a degree in any area that you are interested in. It doesn't have to be directly related to sociology or Law. Apply to become a member of the Garda Reserve Gather life experience by travelling before you join.

Realist?
Realist 
Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

This course is aimed at learners who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in the travel & event management industry. Learners may wish to further their education into areas of hospitality or events management, which offer excellent career opportunities both in Ireland and internationally.

You will complete various practical and theory modules that will advance your knowledge of this unique area. In addition you will gain hands on experience through Galileo, a computerised (GDS) reservation system used in travel agencies and airports. Field trips/visits may also be scheduled as part of the programme.
