Finding CAO Courses
Assists students identifying CAO courses by introducing 22 course subject areas and other criteria used to create a working shortlist of courses for further investigation. Used in conjunction with the CAO Wizard on this site.
Industry Sectors (Career categories)
Introduces the notion of career categories in the context of industry sectors. Students do a 'Sector Investigation' and present finding back to the class.
Career Investigation
Worksheets designed to hold information collected during a career investigation, e.g that used by in the LCVP or LCA. Two versions exist:
Version 1 includes more evaluation,
Version 2 includes sections on Knowledge requirements and Career skills.
Version 3 is customised for the LCA
Versions 2 & 3 include a workplacement evaluation
Work Placements
The Summary Worksheet is designed to summarise experience obtained during a work placement. The Student Worksheet is designed to help prepare for a work placement in advance.
Learning Skills
A series of downloadable resources designed to facilitate student learning and goal setting during 5th and 6th year. Includes online Study Skills Test.
