Jamie McCarthy-Fisher is an art studio manager working in Wild Goose Studios in Kinsale, Co Cork. He completed a MA (Hons) in English Literature in the University of Edinburgh and worked as a Journalist for some time. He moved to Ireland and started working in his Fathers studio where he now works full time as a Managing Director.

He chose to change his career path from that of a qualified Butcher to Intellectual Disability Nursing in his early twenties, and completed a Degree programme. He now works in St Michael's house with people that have severe and  profound intellectual disabilities.

Following his Leaving Certificate he went on to do a B.Sc in NUI Maynooth. After completing his H-Dip he spent 5 years teaching Maths and Science before embarking on the Higher Diploma in School Guidance and Councelling in NUI Maynooth.
