Amber Oil to create 65 new jobs

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Amber Oil to create 65 new jobsSome 65 new jobs will be created, thanks to a EUR7 million investment by Irish service station retailer Amber Oil, it was announced today (July 27th).

A mixture of full and part-time work is to be created over the next three months, the Cork-based company said.

Amber Oil, which is currently upgrading and expanding its network of service stations around the country, has embarked on a 12-month development and acquisition programme, which has increased the number of service stations under the Amber brand from 18 to 23.

According to Business and Leadership, Liam Fitzgerald, chief executive officer of Amber Oil, said: "We have invested EUR7 million in our network over the past 12 months and are already starting to see positive results.

"Our aim is to continue to invest in our network through acquisition and development over the next 18 months. We believe that there is real value in the market now and we intend to capitalise on it.

Earlier this month, forecourt retailer Applegreen said it will create 300 jobs as it opens the first motorway service areas in the country.  ADNFCR-2470-ID-800006029-ADNFCR
