The job that I do is highly specialised and the skills that I am required to have to do my job can only be acquired in our restaurant. However, by taking a job in McDonald's you are opening a career path to use those skills anywhere - the skills you acquire are very transferable. It doesn’t matter where you start, the opportunities are there.

The Investigative person will usually find a particular area of science to be of interest. They are inclined toward intellectual and analytical activities and enjoy observation and theory. They may prefer thought to action, and enjoy the challenge of solving problems with clever technology. They will often follow the latest developments in their chosen field, and prefer mentally stimulating environments.

Slack, a privately held software company headquartered in San Francisco, CA, has opened a European HQ in Dublin to meet the growing demand for its product.

The company plans to hire 100 people in the next two years in customer support and account management roles for the European market.

The popular messaging and search platform brings team communication into one place, creating a single unified archive accessible through powerful search. 

Launched in February 2014, Slack is now the fastest growing B2B application ever and is used by over 750,000 daily active users

With over 750,000 daily active users, Slack is the fastest growing business app ever, having launched in February 2014, and is transforming communication for teams across industries and disciplines. Customers include Adobe, Airbnb, BuzzFeed, Dow Jones, eBay, Expedia, HBO and The New York Times.

“The launch of our European headquarters is a significant milestone for Slack as we grow our business,” said James Sherrett, Slack’s Dublin-based accounts team lead. “With an initial focus on customer experience and account management, our Dublin office will play a central role in our international footprint.”

The jobs are being created with the support of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
