A keen interest in current affairs, a willingness to travel and an acceptance that this role is a lifestyle choice are all necessary. I believe having lived abroad for a period of time and experiencing different cultures are also an advantage.

Administrative people are interested in work that offers security and a sense of being part of a larger process. They may be at their best operating under supervisors who give clear guidelines, and performing routine tasks in a methodical and reliable way.

They tend to enjoy clerical and most forms of office work, where they perform essential administrative duties. They often form the backbone of large and small organisations alike. They may enjoy being in charge of office filing systems, and using computers and other office equipment to keep things running smoothly. They usually like routine work hours and prefer comfortable indoor workplaces.

40 New Jobs with Elverys Intersport

Sports retail chain Elverys Intersport has announced 40 new jobs. The Irish-owned company, which has 55 shops across the country, said it will be investing €1.5m in its retail network and online platform this year.

Chief Executive Patrick Rowland said the jobs will be created right across the company’s departments in:

  • Marketing
  • Retail Management
  • E-commerce
  • Retail Operations

Included in the investment plans are a complete refit of the Blanchardstown, Sligo and Arklow stores, the opening of a new store in St Stephen’s Green, an upgrade of all store shop fronts and the development of a new online platform.

The company asks those who are interested in becoming sales assistants to leave their CV in store as they are constantly on the lookout for people who embrace their ‘Sport for Life’ motto and will keep all CVs for future positions which may arise.
