Careers rarely develop the way we plan them. Our career path often takes many twists and turns, with particular events, choices and people influencing our direction.

I thought the job would solely be to compute an individual’s / company’s tax liability but it extends to so much more beyond that. You are not just solely a person or organisation’s tax advisor; you are a general business adviser helping them to make key business/commercial decisions.

Creative people are drawn to careers and activities that enable them to take responsibility for the design, layout or sensory impact of something (visual, auditory etc). They may be drawn towards the traditional artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, singing, or music. Or they may show more interest in design, such as architecture, animation, or craft areas, such as pottery and ceramics.

Creative people use their personal understanding of people and the world they live in to guide their work. Creative people like to work in unstructured workplaces, enjoy taking risks and prefer a minimum of routine.

Supermacs to Create 220 Jobs

Supermac’s founders Pat and Una McDonagh have announced their plans to develop three motorway service stations over the next two years, creating 220 jobs. The Junction 16 Kiltullagh Plaza currently under construction will open in early 2016 and will provide 100 jobs.

They made the announcement as construction begins on their €8m motorway service station on the M6 with the laying of the first block by Minister of State for Transport, Tourism and Sport Michael Ring.

According to its developers Pat and Una McDonagh of Supermac’s, it will be the country’s largest motorway service station. Its food offerings will include Mac’s Place Deli, Bakery & Fresh Carvery, Supermac’s, Papa John’s Pizza, SuperSubs and Bewley’s.

The McDonaghs said they will create a further 220 jobs at three more plaza sites to be developed over the next couple of years, including M18 Ennis and Limerick.

Supermacs currently have a number of new job vacancies listed online this week including:
