Creative
Creative people are drawn to careers and activities that enable them to take responsibility for the design, layout or sensory impact of something (visual, auditory etc). They may be drawn towards the traditional artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, singing, or music. Or they may show more interest in design, such as architecture, animation, or craft areas, such as pottery and ceramics.

Creative people use their personal understanding of people and the world they live in to guide their work. Creative people like to work in unstructured workplaces, enjoy taking risks and prefer a minimum of routine.

250 New Jobs with Consulting firm Accenture

Consulting firm Accenture is expanding its presence in Ireland and expects to hire up to 250 new staff by the end of this year.

The new jobs include roles for:

  • Software developers
  • Data scientists
  • Online advertising professionals

These additional jobs come on top of the 200 already announced by the company in September.

Alastair Blair, Accenture's managing director in Ireland, said the company was recruiting to meet client demand which was fuelled by the economic growth it had seen last year and which it expects to continue over the year ahead. "We are a truly global company and we are working to attract people to Ireland and to encourage those who have emigrated to return," he added.
