I would advise any college student considering a career in tax to undertake a summer internship or placement in a firm offering tax services. I found this an excellent way to understand what a job in tax would actually involve. Researching careers in tax online also shows the endless and exciting opportunities that a tax qualification can offer. I have found the more I have learned about tax, the more I understand how varied roles in tax can be.

Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

40 Jobs with Brown Bag Films

Dublin animation studio Brown Bag Films is creating 40 new jobs having secured a deal with Amazon Prime which will stream children’s cartoon ‘The Stinky & Dirty Show’ to audiences in the US, UK and Germany next year.

The show was directed by Darragh O’Connell and produced by Gillian Higgins at Brown Bag Films.

HR manager for the company Susan Cunningham said that recruitment for the 40 new jobs begins immediately.

Current job vacancies with Brown Bag Films include:

  • Software developer
  • Lead Lighter
  • Pipeline technical director
  • 3D/Technical Supervisor

The company are currently recruiting animation and production professionals and are also always on the lookout for 2D freelance set designers.
