130 New Jobs for Ardee with LinenCare laundry services

Linen cleaning giants Linencare have confirmed a massive jobs boost for Ardee with up to 130 new positions to be filled over the next few years.

Linencare Laundry today announced that they are expanding their services and will be increasing their current workforce of 100 people up to 150 by end of year and plans to grow that number to 230 over the coming years. 

The company is looking for staff in all areas including:

  • IT
  • Management
  • Sales
  • General Operatives
  • Forklift drivers
  • Lorry drivers

The company are investing up to €6m in their new facility at the former Lee Jeans complex. Government TD Peter Fitzpatrick, who was heavily involved in the project, feels is a significant boost for the town of Ardee. 'Not only is this the biggest job announcement in 20 years for the area but it also highlights the potential that I have always said exists in Ardee to support new industry,' he stated.

MD of the company, Jim Creaney, said the firm had been looking for a suitable location for the past number of months and had found it in Ardee. 'It also brings additional benefits in terms of location. We have a substantial business in the Northwest and in Donegal in particular,' he stated. The firm works with such hotels as Harvey's Point and Castle Leslie. They are also planning to enter the consumer market.
