Social 
The Social person's interests focus on some aspect of those people in their environment. In all cases the social person enjoys the personal contact of other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people, and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

Announcing FINALISTS of National Career Skills 2016

NATIONAL CAREER SKILLS COMPETITION 2016 - FINALISTS announced! WHO will take the top prizes home? 

Now in its 8th Year, The CareersPortal.ie National Career Skills Competition has once again attracted hundreds of entries from schools all around the country.

Final adjudication is NOW taking place. WATCH THIS SPACE and out social media feeds for updates. Details of all prize winners will be posted on or before Tuesday 3rd May 2016.

The National Career Skills Awards Ceremony 2016 will take place on Tuesday 10th May in the Clock Tower at the Department of Education & Skills, Marlborough Street, Dublin, 1. The winning students, their parents, programme co-ordinators and school principals are invited to attend the prize giving ceremony.  We will be in direct content with each school regarding arrangements. View the 2015 Winners here!

About the National career Skills Competition

Entries to the annual National Career Skills Competition are invited across four school programmes - Leaving Certificate Standard (LC)/Leaving Cert Vocational Programme (LCVP);  Leaving Cert Applied (LCA) and Transition Year (TY), with a special prize for the Irish Language Category. More.
