CAO Medical Students HPAT Exam Results

Last Monday, HPAT Ireland exam results were released to several thousand candidates who have applied to the undergraduate medicine courses in five medical schools: UCD, UCC, NUI Galway, Trinity and RCSI.

The HPAT (Health Professions Admissions Test) exam took place last February. HPAT scores (out of a total of 300) will be added to qualified applicants' Leaving Certificate scores.

Although candidates may not appeal their HPAT results, they may apply for a re-check, if they believe an error may have been made in scoring their exam. Requests for re-checks must be submitted online by 5.00 pm on May 6, at the cost of €80. The re-check fee will be refunded if a scoring error is found.

Be Careful How You Question The Rules

Learn to disagree without being disagreeable. Focus on the rule, policy, or issue - not the person behind it. Avoid personalizing it. The person must not feel attacked.

Creative
Creative people are drawn to careers and activities that enable them to take responsibility for the design, layout or sensory impact of something (visual, auditory etc). They may be drawn towards the traditional artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, singing, or music. Or they may show more interest in design, such as architecture, animation, or craft areas, such as pottery and ceramics.

Creative people use their personal understanding of people and the world they live in to guide their work. Creative people like to work in unstructured workplaces, enjoy taking risks and prefer a minimum of routine.
