Career opportunities for school leavers.
At Bank of Ireland we provide opportunities for School Leavers with a desire to develop a career in Banking. Please note that the minimum entry-level requirement for positions in the Bank of Ireland Group is 5 passes in Ordinary level subjects in the Leaving Certificate, or equivalent examination. The only area that is exempt from this is the Group Customer Contact Centres, where there is an alternative recruitment process in place. School leavers who join BOI directly are encouraged to join our Educational Awards & Assistance Scheme. The Staff Education Awards and Assistance Scheme provides support to employees who wish to continue their education by studying recognised (approved by Higher Education and Training Awards Council), qualifications at Certificate, Diploma or Degree level. It is intended to reward the extra effort/work undertaken by employees in studying for academic qualifications relevant to banking e.g. Bachelor of Commerce or Institute of Bankers courses.
