The Manager's Role
If you are a graduate or have lots of ambition and management experience, you need an employer that can help make the most of your potential. At McDonald's, we offer a winning combination of industry-leading training, real progression opportunites and great benefits.

Management Development Programme
Join us and your first step will be an intensive 18 week management development programme. This is commercial management training at its best, designed to help develop the talents you need for a long-term management career. As well as a thorough grounding in the operational side of the business, you will learn skills in areas such as finance, marketing, leadership and HR.

Trainee Business Manager
Once you have finished the programme, you will work alongside a restaurant management team. Many of our restaurants have a multi-million Euro turnover and employ teams of 60 or more people.

Business Manager
By the time you have become a business manager (often within three years), there will be trainee business mangers to assist you in running your very own business. Your ideas, initiative and personality will shape and drive the success of your own restaurant.

The Crew Role
Every time you visit a McDonald's restaurant, you get a little taste of what it's like to work here. If your serious about working in McDonald's, you need to know what it really means to be a Crew Member.

Customer focus - Do you like working with people? Are you friendly, courteous and helpful by nature? Then the good customer service skills which we prize should come easily to you. Our customers expect a quick and accurate service and Crew Members who are always sensitive to their needs.

As a Crew Member you could find yourself dealing with customers at the till or looking after their needs in the dining areas.

Food preparation - Are you ready for catering on a big scale? Could you cope with the bustle in a busy kitchen? Food is our business and our customers expect us to produce fresh and tasty meals every time.

We need you to be ready to cook and prepare a wide range of items on our menu. As a Crew Member you'll be trained to safely use cleaning equipment and chemical cleaning products.

Host or Hostess - Do you think you could make our customers, young and old, feel at home in a McDonald's restaurant? As a Host or Hostess you could be the first McDonald's employee a customer meets as they come through the door.

You'll be dealing with all sorts of people and ensuring that all the customer areas run smoothly. It will be your responsibility to be open and friendly with everyone and let your manager know how happy you think the customers are.
