What are the main occupation types employed?
CRH plc, has a lean corporate centre based at Belgard Castle in Dublin. Guidance, support, functional expertise, and control, is provided by the centre to the local operating companies in the following key areas:
  • Finance
  • Development

  • Health & Safety
CRH plc regularly recruits for positions in these functional areas of expertise for individuals who wish to pursue a challenging and rewarding career path within the Company.

Irish Cement is a major subsidiary within CRH plc in Ireland, manufacturing high quality cement for the Irish market and has 2 plants at Limerick and Drogheda. Cement Production is a heavy continuous process industry which is very capital intensive and is often engaged in various large scale projects to improve facilities.
Production uses the most advanced, energy-efficient dry methods to create a range of high quality cements. While the majority of employees are skills based Tradesmen and General Operatives they are supported by a core team of Engineers, Professional and Technical staff.

Irish Cement regularly recruits graduates and experienced hires in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering as well as other disciplines.

Roadstone Wood is a major subsidiary within CRH plc in Ireland, employing over 1300 people at more than 60 locations nationwide. It is the leading manufacturer and supplier of aggregates and asphalt, including contract road surfacing, readymixed concrete and concrete products including masonry products, paving, roof tiles and clay brick. Roadstone Wood operates as two distinct companies in Ireland: Roadstone Wood Provinces and Roadstone Wood Dublin.
  • Roadstone Wood Provinces operates from manufacturing centres in the North West, South West, South East and the North of Ireland, employing over 600 people. Roadstone Wood is the number one supplier to the building and civil engineering contracting industries in each of its regions.
  • Roadstone Wood Dublin centres its operations in the greater Dublin area and North East region, and is the leading supplier of building materials, concrete products and bituminous materials to the construction sector in these areas. 
Both Roadstone Wood companies recruit on an ongoing basis for craft workers (electricians, fitters) plant operatives, blacktop laying crews, in addition to engineering technicians and administrative staff.

What types of work contract are offered?

In the main all positions are on a full time permanent basis, however, dependent upon the position there are a few part time and job share opportunities available.

We also recruit fixed term contract staff where appropriate.
