Realist?
Realist 
Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

If you've visited one of our restaurants before, you’ve probably got some idea of what's involved in working here. But you might not realise the variety and scope of the role. Specific responsibilities that involve serving customers include working behind the counter on the till and being out in the dining areas looking after our customers' needs.

 

Position Requirements

Customer Service  - Your role is to provide 100% customer satisfaction through friendly, courteous and helpful behaviour, timely and accurate counter service, delivering a consistently high quality product and showing sensitivity to individual customer’s needs.  This will involve the use of a cash register, various drinks dispensers and the ability to understand and act upon McDonald’s methods of quality control.  Crew Members must be confident in approaching and dealing with diverse groups of people.

 

Food PreparationAs a Crew Member you will need to prepare and cook all menu items in line with demand and to a high standard using a variety of equipment and tools in a busy kitchen environment.  An ability to understand and act upon McDonald’s methods of quality control is essential.  Moving various stock items from main stock areas to kitchen storage will be required.

 

Cleanliness and Hygiene – You'll be expected to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene, in all areas of your restaurant, which exceed the standards required by law and fulfil the standards expected from our customers.  This will involve the use of a variety of cleaning utensils and equipment and a range of chemical cleaning products.  Where necessary, protective equipment will be provided.  A full understanding of hygiene requirements and wholehearted commitment to these responsibilities is essential.

 

Personal Attributes

To join us as a Crew Member you’ll need to be confident in approaching and dealing with diverse groups of people. Friendly, courteous and helpful behaviour will come naturally to you and you’ll work well as part of a team. Effective communication skills such as attentive listening, face-to-face verbal communication and eye contact are a must. You’ll also need to understand the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and service as well as cleanliness. The ability to maintain high energy levels whilst working both efficiently and productively is essential. Finally, your appearance should be smart and clean.
