You should possibly consider studying environmental science or environmental engineering in third level.

You would also need to consider if you would like do quite a bit of driving during your day and to be able to oragnise your own work plans as both these things are important.

Investigative 
The Investigative person will usually find a particular area of science to be of interest. They are inclined toward intellectual and analytical activities and enjoy observation and theory. They may prefer thought to action, and enjoy the challenge of solving problems with clever technology. They will often follow the latest developments in their chosen field, and prefer mentally stimulating environments.

During Year 1 of the programme, all students will follow a core programme consisting of 15 units of study.  Students will spend part of this time in schools observing, teaching and participating in the life of the school.  As students progress through the programme, there will be increasing opportunities for them to specialise in years 3 & 4 either within Education or within a Liberal Arts discipline.
