What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?
Physics, History, Geography, and French were my options for my Leaving Cert.
Physics was one of the subjects that I was most interested in school, and this had a lot of influence on my decision to study electronic engineering in college.

Have you undertaken, or do you plan to undertake any further training as part of your job?
CRH provides a number of training courses for people at different points in their career. I will be attending a Management Development Programme this year, which is aimed at people with 2-5 years experience in the company.
What aspects of your education have proven most important for your job?
Having an MBA was a prerequisite for my job. My job requires a strong understanding of many subjects including Accounting, Finance, Strategy. The MBA has given me good understanding of these subjects which I can build on over my career.
