Administrative?

Administrative

Administrative people are interested in work that offers security and a sense of being part of a larger process. They may be at their most productive under supervisors who give clear guidelines and while performing routine tasks in a methodical and reliable way.

They tend to enjoy clerical and most forms of office work, where they perform essential administrative duties. They often form the backbone of large and small organisations alike. They may enjoy being in charge of office filing systems, and using computers and other office equipment to keep things running smoothly. They usually like routine work hours and prefer comfortable indoor workplaces.

Postgraduate Funding

Finding funding is often the biggest headache for prospective postgraduates. However, grants, scholarships, bursaries and loans are all available, and it's likely that you'll need a combination of these to pay your way.

NUI Galway Scholarship

A limited number of College Scholarships are available, and are awarded for the purpose of assisting postgraduate students who are proceeding full-time to a postgraduate degree (by research) at the National University of Ireland, Galway. The holder may not simultaneously register for another course.

The Scholarships are tenable for up to four years. They are awarded in the first instance for a period of one year, but may, subject to the availability of funding, be renewed on an annual basis, provided the holder’s progress in his/her studies is satisfactory and renewal is recommended in writing by the Head of Department. Normally, a Scholarship will be tenable for up to a maximum of two years for the degree of Master, or beyond four years for the degree of PhD, or beyond three years in all.
