Administrative people are interested in work that offers security and a sense of being part of a larger process. They may be at their most productive under supervisors who give clear guidelines and while performing routine tasks in a methodical and reliable way.

They tend to enjoy clerical and most forms of office work, where they perform essential administrative duties. They often form the backbone of large and small organisations alike. They may enjoy being in charge of office filing systems, and using computers and other office equipment to keep things running smoothly. They usually like routine work hours and prefer comfortable indoor workplaces.

The Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeship is an earn and learn degree programme, where participants work in an insurance organisation while studying online. But what does an apprentice actually do?

If you speak to an apprentice, you’ll probably hear that there’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ day. Depending on the organisation, you might be on the phones helping customers make a claim, or you could be analysing customer’s needs to decide what kind of coverage they need. Another day you could be participating in an online lecture or class discussion with your fellow apprentices.
