Creative

Creative people are drawn to careers and activities that enable them to take responsibility for the design, layout or sensory impact of something (visual, auditory etc). They may be atrracted to the traditional artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, singing, or music. Or they may show more interest in design activities, such as architecture, animation, or craft areas, such as pottery and ceramics.

Creative people use their personal understanding of people and the world they live in to guide their work. Creative people like to work in unstructured workplaces, enjoy taking risks and prefer a minimum of routine.

Seamus Callanan – Bank of Ireland & Tipperary Hurler

Hi my name is Seamus Callanan and I studied Business Studies Marketing & Management in LIT. This course equipped me with all the tools needed to pursue my current post with Bank of Ireland. Both the theory and course work prepared me very well for the challenges of the industry.

The learning environment in LIT was very supportive, practical and gave me opportunity to work as both an individual and as part of a team. I found the lecturers and staff very friendly and supportive, and always trying their best in helping me to achieve my full potential.

In addition to my 3rd level education I was given the opportunity to play Fitzgibbon Cup hurling which I found very beneficial as I got to play with a lot of high profile players and work under some of the best management teams in the sport.

For me, it started in LIT
