I wanted to study Mechanical Engineering in LIT as I was extremely interested in learning about advanced robotics and Computer Aided Design (CAD) and LIT offer a practical, hands-on approach to learning that I knew would motivate and challenge me.

After graduating, I had the opportunity to work for a company called Modular Automation, a recognised leader in the automation industry in Ireland. Modular Automation designs, builds and controls automated equipment for many of the world’s largest and most reputable medical device, life science and ICT companies.

My main role involves delivering best in class automation and robotics solutions for the medical industry for international clients such as Johnson and Johnson and Vistakon. Participating in this industry as it evolves and seeing how its changing is fascinating. I also teach robot design in LIT to the design engineers of the future.

I’m very excited to see where my future in robotics takes me.

For me, it started in LIT
