Once the news of your results has sunk in, we recommend that you calmly review your CAO application and check that you have met the minimum entry requirements for your top choices. For example, in TU Dublin, there is a minimum requirement of H4 in Mathematics for Level 8 Engineering and H5 in Mathematics for Level 8 Business Analytics. If you haven’t achieved these grades in your Leaving Certificate, don’t worry - you still have time to register for the Maths Competency Test – which means you can still meet the requirements of your chosen programme.
Tutorials for the Maths Competency Test take place on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th August, and the exam takes place on Wednesday, 21st August. If you’re successful in the test, you will have met the minimum requirement for Mathematics and can look forward to receiving an offer. More information is available here.
