What are your interests?

Social?

Social

The Social person's interests focus on interacting with the people in their environment. In all cases, the Social person enjoys the personal contact with other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

Higher Options 2019

Make the best of Higher Options by planning your day carefully

Higher Options 2019

Higher Options 2019 takes place next week on Wednesday 18th, Thursday 19th  & Friday 20th, September 2019 at the RDS Simmonscourt, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. It's the perfect opportunity for 6th Year, 5th Year and TY students to connect directly with third level colleges and universities and ask any questions which will be answered directly by the colleges. There will also be a big focus on apprenticeships again this year at the event.

For hundreds of thousands of students, over several decades, the Higher Options fair has been the start of their journey into adult life. It’s here that you’ll find, under one roof, hundreds of third-level and further-education options, both in Ireland and abroad.

The CareersPortal Team will be available over the three days of the event at Stand 49, just across from coffee shop beside the main entrance.  Please feel free to call to our stand with any questions you might have. You can also take the Careers Portal Interest-Profiler (CPIP) to measure the relative strengths of your interests and see how these interest match up with careers and occupations.  Get a free printable report containing a summary of your career interests, along with some occupations that match your interest profile.
