Enterprising
Enterprising people like situations that involve using resources for personal or corporate economic gain. Such people may have an opportunistic frame of mind, and like commerce, trade and making deals. Some are drawn to sales and marketing occupations. Many will eventually end up owning their own business, or managing a section in larger organisations. They tend to be very goal-oriented, and work best when focused on a target. Looking for a career in accounting? We have a few options available for students coming direct from Leaving Certificate:

Certificate in Business and Accounting

The CPA Certificate in Business and Accounting is a one academic year course which comprises of the first stage of professional exams (F1). The course is aimed at students beginning their studies or career in business. Upon completion, you will be awarded with the CPA Certificate in Business and Accounting. Students who successfully complete the certificate programme can then progress to further accounting studies (F2) so provides the perfect starting block for students.

The course is run fully online with a very supportive learning package with access to filmed lectures and manuals and so offers that added flexibility. Full details on the CPA Certificate and entry requirements can be found here

CPA Accounts Executive Traineeship

The CPA Accounts Executive Programme is a one-year full time, fully-funded, academic programme followed by a three-month training contract run by the Education and Training Boards in conjunction with CPA Ireland, for ambitious school leavers or students wishing to pursue a career as a professional accountant.

Students will cover all the subjects from the CPA Certificate in Business and Accounting and will be awarded the CPA Certificate in Business and Accounting upon completion of the traineeship. The 2017 traineeship will be starting mid-September 2017 and we have the traineeship running in 2 locations, Athlone and Cork as of now.
